THE COLORADO TENNIS CLASSIC BEGINNER'S CLINIC - August 1, 3pmThe Colorado Tennis Classic is coming to Denver August 1-8, 2004. This is a $50,000 Men’s Pro Circuit Challenger event held at the University of Denver-Stapleton Tennis Pavilion and the only professional tennis tournament scheduled for the Denver area at this time. Guess what they need??? ....BEGINNERS!! On August 1, 2004, the Colorado Tennis Classic will be hosting a Welcome Center Clinic for all beginners to tennis. Any CVTA members with a 2.5 rating or just starting to play tennis can attend and get free lessons from tennis pros and players of the Tennis Classic. This is an excellent way to learn about tennis and have some fun. Any CVTA members or family members can attend. Learn from some of the BEST! The clinic begins at 3 p.m. held at the University of Denver-Stapleton Tennis Pavilion. Spaces are limited so reserve your spot as soon as possible. SUMMER DRILL SOCIAL - August 7, 4-6pmBecause the feedback from our recent Drill Social was extremely positive and so many of you requested another social, we invited Doug and Marshall back and they are excited to help us out! Therefore, circle the date on your calendar, enter “Drill Social” on your handheld, or do whatever it takes to keep August 7th from 4-6 p.m. open. For those playing in the Boulder County Cup (which CVTA is determined to win annually), this drill social will be a great time to practice and fine tune one of the many needed skills for the event: tennis, eating, laughing, consuming amber fluid, meeting new people. It's a great time for only $12 per participant. Whatever your skill level, come out and enjoy the afternoon. Doug and Marshall do a great job making sure everyone has a good time.

Plan on meeting at 11 a.m. and going as a group to the event. Following the finals, for those who are interested, we can grab a bite to eat and share our observations of just how close we are to joining the tour.
