 Overview of Process for Joining the CVTA Ladders

To join a CVTA Ladder for 2008, you send an email to ladders@cvtatennis.org with your name, phone, email address, and NTRP (if known).  The CVTA Ladder Administrator receives notification; then adds you to the ladder roster.  You will then receive an email containing your user login to TennisEngine.com.  Once you receive that email, you have access to tennisengine.com for entering match scores and updating your profile (phone, email, NTRP, preferences for playing, etc). 

The following are some tips for using TennisEngine.com.   If you have issues while using the system, please email the CVTA ladder administrator at ladders@cvtatennis.org, with the following information:

 

To Report An Issue with TennisEngine.com:

·         Your name and email address and phone

·         A brief description of the issue.  Example, “login not valid” or “Unable to enter match score” or “system prevented me from updating profile”.

·         The steps to reproduce the issue as best as you can recall. 

o        Example of describing steps to reproduce the issue:  “After logging in, I selected “Update Profile”.  I entered my phone number, and pressed Go, but a message said, ‘User name already in use’.  My information was not shown on the page.”

 

 

To Modify An Incorrect Match Score

Email the CVTA Ladder administrator at ladders@cvtatennis.org.

 

To Update Your Profile:

This section requires that you already received a login via email with subject line “Centennial Valley Tennis Association Ladder  – Registered”.

1.       Login (with username and pw supplied to you by email) and press Go.

2.      Enter or update your personal information.  HINT: FILL IN ALL THE FIELDS.  Otherwise, the system may prevent you from exiting completely (i.e., it displays a message to the effect of:  “Sorry you have entered incorrect information”).  When done, press Go.

3.      Update your preferences such as style of play, availability, gender, NTRP, etc.  HINT: FILL IN ALL THE FIELDS!  Otherwise, the system won’t let you exit until you fill in USTA number, etc.  When done, press Go. 

 

To Enter a Match Score

1.       Login to TennisEngine.com

2.      Click the “Enter Match” button located under the section, “Your Current League Stats”.

3.      Choose your opponent from the drop-down list box.

4.      Enter your scores; then click “enter this match”.  The system asks you to verify the scores.   After verifying, the system displays match results on the screen. 

 

A Couple of Notes about Entering Match Scores

·         The system does not check whether the matches are completed; it will accept whatever score you enter. 

·         If the score is incorrectly entered, please email ladders@cvtatennis.org.
