Leagues

The Centennial Valley Tennis Association (CVTA) is proud to be an active member of the Colorado Tennis Association (CTA) and the United States Tennis Association (USTA).

In 2007, based on the interests of our CVTA membership, we had 28 USTA league teams in competition.  For more information on league tennis, check the CTA website league page.

For those interested in World Team Tennis (WTT), which is a team format combining mixed doubles, men's and women's singles, register directly with the CTA.   You do not have to be a USTA member to play WTT.     For more information go to the CTA WTT webpage.

The 2008 league season is underway, with room still on some of the summer teams, and with teams for the fall leagues still  forming.  Check the CTA website for league registration info and league schedules (pdf).. If you would like to play, and are new to the area or new to league tennis, or have questions about USTA or WTT leagues, contact:

Procedure for signing up for a CVTA League Team

  1. Read the CVTA league policy.

  2. Join the USTA/renew your USTA membership (does not apply for WTT).
You must be a USTA membership to participate in all leagues except World Team Tennis (WTT).  USTA memberships can be purchased on the phone (1-800-990-USTA) or at the USTA website (under membership) with a major credit card.

  3. Join the CVTA/renew your CVTA membership.
Only active members can join a league team.  Complete a membership form and send it in with your check payable to "CVTA".  Existing members received a renewal notice in the mail and new members can print our membership form from our website (click on 'Join Us') or pick up a brochure from our bulletin board located at the Louisville Rec Center courts.

  4. Give your $15 league fee check (also payable to "CVTA") to your team captain.
He/she will then give you the team number for on-line Registration through TennisLink.

  5. Register for your team on the TennisLink website.
Use the team # given to you by your captain.  Monies collected by TennisLink go to the CTA and USTA only!

  6. Participation on a CVTA League Team is based on availability determined by many factors including: player numbers, captain availability, court availability, and other issues.
